The Ohmapi Nature Project

Learn Through Nature While in Nature

At Ohmapi, forests, meadows, creeks, and trails are our classrooms. Math, science, and language arts come alive through hands-on exploration, meaningful experiences, and full-day immersion in nature.

Curriculum

Nature is the Norm

By spending frequent and ample time in nature, children attune to the rhythms of the natural world. This connection helps them intuitively apply nature-based understanding to the world around them.

Low Student to Instructor Ratio

Curriculum

With a low student-to-instructor ratio, Ohmapi fosters meaningful relationships and creates bonds that make true learning possible.

Ohmapi is a Private Membership Association (PMA), which means our programs are available exclusively to members. New families are always welcome. We invite open-minded parents and caregivers who feel called to co-create a vibrant educational community—one that values independence in learning, medical freedom, open communication, curiosity, and the wisdom found in nature.

Legally, Ohmapi operates as a homeschool enrichment program, giving families and students greater autonomy in how learning unfolds.

Parent Testimonies:

“My nine year old daughter entered The Ohmapi Nature Project last year and even though the World was in crisis-mode, one would have never known about the fares of the Globe once they stepped foot into the "classroom" that Dawn created.

Dawn and Macy made 2021 a Joyous and memorable year for not only my daughter, but for me as well. As a parent, it was comforting to know that my child would be held in a sacred space which would encourage: optimal learning, self-respect and respect of others, creative imaginative play, and a strong synergistic holistic approach to education.

Dawn's well thought out curriculum, detailed teaching skills, as well as her positive, confidence building mentorship style, allowed my daughter to blossom during a time when it was most needed.

Dawn and Macy made such an impact in Kaila's life. She left Ohmapi Nature Project a more confident, assertive, appreciative and balanced human with a deep reverence for all living things and a new found Love for Math!

I highly recommend this school. Dawn's guidance and genuine presence fosters an environment for students to be their Best Selves."
