Indigenous Wisdom with Sara 12:15pm-1:35pm

Sara will share her vast knowledge of Plants, Food & Medicine. She will lead the students in cooking with acorns and other native foods as well as making herbal remedies… including making a 1st aid kit. Sara incorporates indigenous games, songs and dance in her teaching style. Max enrollment is 7 in this class and lessons are appropriate for ages 7-14. In Sara’s Class, students will learn, play, and work with gifts from mother earth to make food, medicine, and games. They will make a first aid kit, elderberry syrup, process acorns, manzanita berries and other Indigenous foods. They will certainly learn to caretake earth, wind, water, and fire throughout the session as well as play games and make quickie bows/arrows and practice 5-minute fires.
